English for Academic Purpose (EAP)

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program prepares upper intermediate-level english international students for vocational or university study in Australia and other contexts where English is the language of instruction.

Learning activities will focus on writing, reading and listening, grammar and vocabulary development, oral presentation skills, research skills and web literacy. There will be an emphasis on the development of critical literacy and critical thinking throughout the course.

EAP provides a pathway to many Colleges and Universities in Australia.

You will learn to

• Effectively participate in a university or college course
• Express facts, ideas and opinions in writing, using correct and appropriate vocabulary, grammatical structures for academic purposes
• Understand spoken English in conversations, discussions and lectures and take notes
• Speak clearly and confidently in English
