Skilled Nominated visa (Permanent) visa (subclass 190) and Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491)

Skilled Nominated visa (Permanent) visa (subclass 190)

Currently, some ANZSCO unit groups are available to offshore candidates. They are now eligible for NSW nomination.

Requirements

If you are residing offshore, you must:

1. have continuously resided offshore for the past three months, and
2. have a valid skills assessment for an occupation within an ANZSCO unit group

In some ANZSCO unit groups, you must have a minimum of three years’ work experience in the occupation you have nominated.

It is not possible to directly apply for NSW nomination since NSW uses a selection-based invitation process to ensure NSW nominees will meet the state’s economic needs. Moreover, a nomination by NSW for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) is highly competitive.
