South Australia updated the Program for Offshore Applicants

From 2 pm, ACST, Wednesday 16 February 2022, South Australia will offer Registrations of Interest (RoIs) to candidates that resident offshore. Depending on the occupation, the prerequisites for state nomination including the subclasses available will differ.

Prospective applicants for state nomination in South Australia must meet Department of Home Affairs requirements, as well as state-specific profession requirements, and have skills in an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List.

To be considered, most of the occupations require 8 years of experience in one of these or a closely similar occupation (A few occupations need 5 years of experience). For example, if you’re an Industrial Engineer with previous experience as a Production Manager or Quality Assurance Manager, you’d be deemed closely linked. You must also have Proficient Plus English or Superior English, defined as a score of 7 – 7.5 on the IELTS or a comparable test. (Few occupations need Competent English).
